Job Description- Review and execute fund administrator documents for capital commitments, subscriptions, redemptions, and transfer trades for the clients.
- Review and monitor settlement of custody outgoing swift/wires.
- Allocating custody trades and wires to the preparers
- Ensuring that all custody trades assigned to the team are executed as per the deadline without exceptions.
- Ensure all custody trades executed by the team have been confirmed and accepted as per the deadline
- Oversee day to day trade processing activities and assist the team members with their queries on BAUs
- Prepare or assist the team members in the AML and KYC packages as required by the respective administrators of the underlying funds.
- Liaising with client, third party and internal Client Operations teams for resolving queries and issues with respect to custody trade execution
- Ensuring all third party and internal emails are responded by the team
- Accountable for understanding and achieving Service Level Agremeents with internal Client Operations teams and clients with respect to trades processing.
- Training new members in the team
- Finding gaps and risks in the current processes and taking the required steps to enhance the control environment.
- Participate in multiple system improvement projects and automation projects.
- Liaise with team members, senior team leaders and internal IT teams to implement changes as needed
- Ensure that SOPs for processes are in place and the adherance of team members to mitigate trade processing errors ad it may result to monetary and reputational risk to the organization.
- Manage a team of 10-12 members
- Degree in an accounting field
- 12+ years of experience with another fund administrator within the fund accounting space with FOF or the Investor Operations/Relations team with an exposure to AML/KYC processes.
- Understanding of the Fund of Fund business is a must
- Custody experience is desirable.
- Proficiency with using Adobe PDF is an asset.
- Qualities such as attention to detail and being organized are a must.
- Advanced investigative, problem-solving, decision-making skills and financial impact and risk awareness on actions undertaken
- Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines, in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to discern time-sensitive issue and prioritize appropriately.
