We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our Design Studio team. You will be delivering design and drafting services for Infills, Single Family & Semi-detached, Townhomes, and Acreages from generating 3-D renderings to conceptual with site study, site plans, full construction drawings, permit application(s) and so much more.

Architectural Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing building specifications, codes, and sites.
  • Creating technical drawings from Architects; sketches and specifications.
  • Using CAD software to prepare working drawings that incorporate exact
    measurements, building codes, and other construction details.
  • Printing CAD drawings for use by Architects, Construction Managers, and
    Structural Engineers.
  • Entering CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D
    models and renderings.
  • Visiting construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as
    needed.
  • Collaborating with Architects and Construction Engineers to ensure adherence to
    building specifications and industry regulations.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments and technologies in Architectural
    design.

Experience Required:

  • Three years experience as a residential Architectural Technologist will be
    advantageous.
  • Custom home drafting experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
    In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, by-laws and
    structural analysis.
  • Proficiency with Revit (3 years required)
  • Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
  • Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good general knowledge of all common office software programs;
