Content Writer

We are searching for a Saskatoon-based Content Writer to join our team. If you have a passion for crafting compelling content, solid understanding of writing for SEO, and a passion to embrace AI in your work, read on! You will play a key role in crafting compelling content and stories that resonate with our ideal customers, and creating efficiencies for our content team.

This position involves transforming ideas into exceptional content across various formats like blog posts, social, case studies, marketing and ad copy. You'll immerse yourself in researching industry topics and competitors, understanding our audience, and tailoring content with a strategic focus on keywords, SEO principles, and the unique problems solved by the Vendasta platform and products. You'll leverage AI tools to enhance your efficiency, creativity, and overall content output.

You will be involved in planning and reviewing analytics to ensure the content being created is valuable, being viewed, and ultimately resulting in leads and sales.

Your Impact

• Leverage AI in your writing practices to improve efficiency, generate ideas, and optimize content.
• Collaborate with our team to develop content that supports marketing initiatives and business goals.
• Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics, combining online sources, interviews, and studies to gain comprehensive insights.
• Craft clear and persuasive marketing copy to highlight our products and services.
• Create various content formats, including blog posts, articles, website copy, email campaigns, and social media content.
• Proofread and edit content with meticulous attention to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stay updated on SEO best practices, content trends, and the latest AI writing tools.
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to enhance your content with visuals.
• Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to increase web traffic.
• Promote content on social media to expand reach and engagement.
• Identify customers' needs and suggest new content topics.
• Update website content as needed.

What You Bring to the Table

• 2+ years of experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role, ideally with a portfolio of published work.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English.
• Strong understanding of how to leverage AI in writing practices.
• Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, etc.)
• Proven research skills and experience using various sources.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• A keen awareness of audience needs and interests.
• BSc in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field is an asset.
