As an Event Manager at our Vancouver location, you will be responsible for overseeing the Banquet Operations of the restaurant/hotel while maintaining all standards, policies, and procedures set forth by our company. You will provide leadership, training, and mentorship for your banquet team while also identifying skill and leadership potential in your crew and developing those individuals into management roles within our company. You will be responsible for banquet event execution as well as managing quality assurance, clients/customer service (including event quotes), accounts management, banquet inventory planning/labor control, expert scheduling, financial reporting regarding banquet sales/targets/labor control, attending weekly BEO meetings with the Chef to ensure culinary excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Directing and controlling Banquet Operations of restaurant/hotel at excellent level while maintaining all standards set forth by company
• Providing leadership, training and mentorship for banquet team
• Identifying skill and leadership potential in crew and developing those individuals into management roles within company
• Banquet event execution and managing quality assurance
• Managing clients and customer service (including event quotes) and accounts management
• Banquet inventory planning and labor control
• Expert scheduling
• Managing and submitting weekly financial reporting regarding banquet sales/targets/labor control
• Attending weekly BEO meetings with Chef to ensure culinary excellence

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales, event coordination or hospitality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in developing sales strategy and achieving revenue goals
