What you will do

  • Manage Azure Infrastructure and development system upgrades, and patches to ensure system security and performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., in Terraform) for Dev/Staging/Prod environment configurations.
  • Ensure proactive monitoring and logging of production environments by creating Azure AppInsights, Workbooks, Alerts, and Dashboards.
  • Automate and optimize database and data model (PowerBI) replication and partition.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and enhance system reliability.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Coordinate with internal and contractual DevOps teams for smooth and efficient system maintenance.

What you bring

  • 10+ years experience working as a systems or DevOps engineer or similar role.
  • Post-secondary training in computer science or system maintenance.
  • Mandatory technical experience on the following areas:
    • Expertise with Azure infrastructure and Azure DevOps
    • Expertise on Terraform and relevant Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
    • Deep understanding of networking, database and storage systems
    • Fair understanding of Git branching and Jira workflows
  • Previous experience as a software developer would be considered as an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and operate in an agile environment.
