Your next Career: Class D Truck Driver- Day Shift - 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Mon to Fri

Position Overview

The Truck Driver is responsible for shunting product, between Calstone manufacturing and assembly locations and / or picking up materials and supplies as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates trucks to shunt Calstone products between production and assembly facilities and or pick up / deliver supplies or products.

• Perform vehicle inspection prior to vehicle operation to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order and record in the Driver'
• Daily Log & Vehicle Inspection Report
• Ensure that freight is properly loaded, secured and protected from the outdoor elements
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe cab and trailer interior and exterior
• Report on issues, malfunctions or defects to Production Supervisor or Assembly Manager
• Reports any observed or potential hazards immediately
• Wear the proper PPE where required
• Helps with other functional areas/departments as the need arises or as assigned
• Follow Calstone Inc. Policies and Procedures.
• Adherence to attendance policy (regular attendance)
• All other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Valid Ontario Class "D” license and CVOR certificate
  • Clean driving abstract
  • 3 Year letter of experience from employer
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, and Managers.
  • Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs frequently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to take instructions
