iHealthOX is looking for a Clinical supervisor ABA clinic / Senior Therapist BCBA to join our growing organization and to be a part of an exciting new program opportunity. You will report to the Director of Our ABA program, a BCBA.

Our Behavior Therapist will provide clinical instruction and behaviour reduction protocols (based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis) to clients with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the centre, the home, community, and school settings. Our Behaviour Therapists collect program data and assist the Clinic Supervisor with clinical assessments as needed.

The BCBA also consults with and teaches staff/client caregivers/team members regarding pro-active, educational, programming, and behavioural supports; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborates with related services providers as appropriate. The BCBA also provides direct staff supervision and evaluation of staff performance verbally and in writing.

  • Provide ongoing support for students
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

  • Master or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education or a related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • Experience developing, writing, implementing, and evaluating individual and/or unit-wide behavioural programs
  • Experience training staff in behavioural principles and procedures
  • Effective and professional communication
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Critical thinking skills and problem-solving
  • Strong computer skills
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

  • Use appropriate assessment instruments and data to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioural outcomes and objectives.
  • Ensure the accurate implementation of treatment plans, document contacts and observations, use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategize continuous improvements.
  • Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as required.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads staff team through operational and clinical oversight
  • Supports the team in conducting functional assessments, including analysis and interpretation of results
  • Designs and develops service plans in collaboration with Behaviour Therapists/Clinicians according to demonstrated best practices of Applied Behavioural Analysis
  • Develops monitoring and data recording systems
  • Reviews and analyzes data based on objective evidence in the development of the programs
  • Conducts on-site clinical supervision of direct service delivery, responsible for ongoing program evaluation and modifications as needed to support plans
  • Provides clinical training, management and oversight to Behaviour Therapists/Clinicians and Support Workers within the organization
  • Collaborates with the team and consulting professionals to develop a systematic method of program evaluation to measure the individuals progress as well as to improve the service delivery of the team throughout the year

Qualifications:

      • Master's Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent
      • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) Certification is required and meets the ‘Qualifications for Clinical Supervisors of behaviour services' as defined by MCCSS.
      • Minimum 5 years experience working with children/youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, conducting behavioural assessments, developing of behaviour interventions and analysis of data
      • Experience working as a professional within a clinical multidisciplinary team that follows a biopsychosocial model of treatment and intervention
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supported individuals, families, employees and other agencies
      • Experience working with children, youth and their families
      • Previous supervision experience is preferred
      • Excellent ability to supervise and train employees in the implementation and monitoring of behavioural programs
      • Ability to function both independently and collaboratively with initiative and self-motivation
      • Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), non-violent crisis prevention intervention
      • This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle. The successful candidate would have to provide proof they have a valid driver's license upon being hired.
