We are currently searching for an energetic, motivated Millwright Mechanic to join APOLLO Team!
POSITION SCOPE:
The role of the Maintenance Mechanic includes responsibility for ensuring that all equipment remains in good working condition. It is also to ensure that Preventative Maintenance is performed and documented on all machinery on a regular basis to ensure efficient production operations and compliance with governing legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Troubleshoot, repair and install high speed filling machines with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance and regular work orders and account for inventory and labor on computerized maintenance system.
  • Perform documented regular preventative maintenance checklists on machinery, which includes but is not limited to pumps, chains, belts, pulleys, sprockets, control panels, valves, air solenoids, actuators, oil levels and all compounding equipment.
  • Maintain conveyors, shrink wrap, case erectors and associated production line equipment.
  • Maintain and organize the maintenance shop and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in compliance with a cGMP facility.
  • Ensure that coders are in good working order
  • Assist the production lines with change overs and set ups
  • Identify and report hazards and fulfill all Health & Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and GMP policy requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic License required
  • Post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of electronic controls, pneumatics and hydraulics and hands on experience with high speed filling machines required
  • Knowledge of packaging line set up, adjustment and maintenance
  • Licensed as an industrial millwright, machinist or welding fabrication
