About the Role

We are seeking a freelance graphic designer for a national, non-profit, community-based organization that is dedicated to eradicating cancer. You will work collaboratively with the Cancer Information team to create accessible patient education and prevention materials while ensuring alignment with brand and values.

  • Execute the creative development of educational materials in print and digital formats.
  • Work with the Cancer Information Project Manager on graphic design and production.
  • Develop creative concepts and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the design team's growth and organizational processes enhancements.
  • Ensure materials adhere to design and health literacy principles while representing the brand.
  • Contribute to a culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Related post-secondary education (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in production design and layout (print and digital).
  • Advanced understanding of design, health communications, and accessible design.
  • Experience in various information formats and brand standards.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite and MS Office.
  • Experience working with equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
