Rentokil-Terminix is currently seeking an experienced collections expert to be a part of our fast-paced collections team. The position will be based out of our office in Burnaby (8620 Commerce Ct, Burnaby, BC V5A 4N6). The Collections Specialist will be responsible for the management of collections within an assigned territory.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducts a high volume of outbound calls to customers regarding the collection of past due
  • and/or delinquent accounts
  • Distribute monthly statements to customer via email and mail
  • Aids customers with payment processing including daily cheque deposits, credit card processing
  • and EFT payments
  • Issue receipts for transactions, prepare bank deposits, balance and daily records
  • Ensure maximum sensitivity and responsiveness to all customer requirements.
  • Present collections efforts and results during one-on-one meetings with direct manager and
  • during group meetings with teammates and management team.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge and understanding of services offered and operating systems.
  • Ability to comprehend service agreements and instructions and interpret accounts accordingly.
  • Liaise with various departments to resolve AR disputes
  • Tracks statistics on success of outbound collection calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years previous collections experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of established collection procedures and guidelines
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to provide customer quality service in all job tasks
  • Ability to manage escalated calls from upset customers
  • Ability to work assigned schedule regularly and reliably
  • Ability to effectively make outbound calls, take inbound calls using a dialer and or manually
  • Ability to use computer systems to navigate collections database effectively
  • Effectively use skills and tools to locate, contact and resolve delinquent debts
  • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide One Call Resolutions to
  • costumers.
  • Able to demonstrate strong levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability
  • to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details.
  • Acts with the highest standards of integrity always and builds enduring and trusting relationships
  • across all key stakeholders.
