Job Title: Production Control ManagerJob ID: JW7956537516Location: Surrey, BCOverview:The Production Control Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for managing the schedule for manufacturing of finished product. This includes managing a process and plan that analyzes current production/capacity needs and creates the most efficient production schedules for the plant and working with the different functional areas to ensure work orders are released at the appropriate times.
What you will be doing:People Management

• Communicate regularly with employees to provide updates on production schedules and requirements
• Maintain effective working relationships both a Langley and Agassiz plants
• Establish SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely) for each team member

Production Management

• Manage master productions schedules and methods in relation to work orders to make decisions regarding inventory levels, manpower requirements, work procedures, and shifting assignments within budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Oversee the receiving, planning and preparation of jobs for release to shop floor in both Langley and Agassiz
• Manage ERP/MRP reporting to ensure schedules and priorities are properly defined for the production floor, purchasing and management
• Maintain a constant flow of information between operations and sales/customers providing accurate commit dates and lead times for new opportunities.
• Work with quality and department managers regularly to work with production delays and processing issues and to prioritize jobs active on the floor.

What you must have:

• experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience with ERP software an asset
• Understanding of supply chain management
• Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) Designation would be a bonus
