Schedule:
- Full time seasonal with flexible hours throughout the fall, winter, spring seasons. More details can be discussed in person regarding expectations. Approx. 1000-1400 hours per season. Affords the applicant the ability to work elsewhere, side jobs, etc. To be discussed in more detail in person.

- various locations with majority of work to be done at Fisherman's Wharf, Ogden Point and Canoe Cove Marina. We have storage located @ Ogden Point and a private residence in the Langford area.

We are seeking a professional, dependable, experienced marine technician/mechanic to join our team.

So what will you do?
- Guaranteed you won't be bored - lots going on.
- Service and maintain our fleet: preventative, regular scheduled maintenance
- Emergency servicing and repair as needed - minimized due to above
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics when needed.
- Work at various locations with the primary location being Fisherman's Wharf.
- Help develop and maintain a parts inventory
- Help develop and maintain a maintenance schedule/program.

What does our ideal candidate look like?

In addition to the above mentioned…
- Journeyman/Certified Marine Mechanic.
- Marine Technician - Minimum 5+ years experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Preference given to applicants with Volvo & CAT Diesel inboard Suzuki Outboard engines:
- Volvo: D6's, D11's, D13's
- CAT C-18's
- Suzuki outboards DF350 - dual props
- General understanding of both aluminum and fiberglass hull construction is an asset.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Some administrative skills a benefit: computer, google documents and sheets (willing to learn)
- Clear communication skills
- Can work under pressure and under a tight timeline due to unforeseen circumstances with a busy peak season schedule (June - September) - (On-call at times). More hours during peak season with light and flexible hours fall, winter, early spring
- Experience in inboard/outboard engine maintenance, service and repair.
- Self motivated and flexible team player; a willingness to learn and work well with others.
- Maintain high quality work standards.
- Mounting and rigging experience is an asset.
- Ability to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Good customer service skills.
- Marine knowledge is not required but would be a strong asset.
