We are seeking a motivated Business Development Professional, also know as an IT Sales Professional, with a track record of forming effective client partnerships, to join our team. As a member of the Business Development team, you will build a robust pipeline of deals with innovative technology focused organizations to support the aggressive growth ambitions for ActiveCo. In this role, you will have the opportunity to identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities, so the ability to build and nurture client relationships is paramount.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with prospects to develop a deep understanding of their needs and translate those needs into product requirements that satisfy their demands.
  • Attract new prospects by researching and identifying potential leads.
  • Cold-calling volume of 65-100 calls per day with the intent to qualify key leads.
  • Make outbound calls to prospects to introduce our services and solutions.
  • Follow up on Marketing campaign list(s) to nurture leads and generate interest.
  • Schedule sales meetings with the President for qualified prospects
  • Participate in networking events or industry conferences to expand the professional network and generate business opportunities.
  • Work with management to develop proposals.
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations.
  • Manage the complexity of managed IT services proposals, contracts, and service level agreements.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customers' needs.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and key performance indicators.
  • Utilize HubSpot or a similar CRM platform to track leads and maintain accurate records.
  • Understand processes by completing assigned training materials.
  • This position will require frequent local travel.

You will bring:

  • 3-5 years of successful experience in outside sales, specifically selling relevant services and products.
  • Strong B2B sales experience in the SMB and SME marketplace is preferred.
  • A winner's attitude with a proven track record of past performance, successes, and achievements.
  • Collaborative and "Can-Do" attitude, thriving in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and achievement-oriented, capable of working autonomously.
  • Dynamic problem-solving and decision-making skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong business acumen, resourcefulness, and quick thinking.
  • Experience in cultivating relationships over the phone is an asset.

  • Proven ability to manage customer commitment, negotiate effectively, and close sales.
  • High energy and drive, with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

Salary:

The compensation up to $75,000 CAD, contingent upon experience, skills, and qualifications.
