We are currently seeking sales representatives and account managers for a group with divisions trading manufacturing and construction equipment and machines. Candidates would be selected for either of the two roles considering the strengths and expertise of the candidates. The positions vary from graduate-level to middle management positions and they will be based out of Edmonton, Alberta. We are looking for candidates who will bring professional sales experience to this position to maintain a territory with a focus on developing relationships with existing customers and prospecting for new customers.
You will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and expanding business in the territories you cover. For the graduate level, you would go through training to learn the products and how they get from the supplier to the customer. Work with all the different departments to understand the customer journey and operational dynamics. For the Middle Manager position, you would lead a team of your own, mentor others, and run the business in your allocated territory. These are full-time positions with attractive compensation packages, both guaranteed and variable.

Who you are
For the graduate level, a university degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered. For the middle management level, between 3-5 years of experience in a B2B sales and business development/prospecting role within the distribution and/or manufacturing space.

Desire to continuously learn and grow.
Strong negotiation skills, proven business acumen, and commercial expertise; strong business relationships.
Ability to be self-motivated, demonstrate autonomy and initiative, learn new technologies and adapt to new situations.
Be an excellent communicator and a good listener; proven presentation skills.
Possess a high degree of organization and planning skills.
Have a passion for your profession and know well how to manage your time, priorities, and the associated.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Strong interest in sales.
Valid driver's license.
What you will be doing:
Develop customer accounts by proactively gathering and reviewing information through various internal platforms or external networks.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with your customers in your territory, as well as with key players and departments in the organization.
Ensure excellent customer relations in line with the organization's core values and strategic vision by prioritizing face-to-face visits; travel frequently around the territory.
Participate in improving the customer experience for key accounts by suggesting appropriate solutions by identifying key decision-makers and their needs.
Meet or exceed annual sales and margin targets.
Prospection, cold calling to seize new business opportunities.
Use your strong negotiation skills to negotiate new contracts or renewals of existing contracts.
Ensure documentation and reports are complete, accurate and submitted to other departments promptly.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize development, follow up and closing of sales opportunities.
Contribute and participate in industry events.
