Munck Cranes Inc., a leader in the Crane Manufacturer industry, is actively seeking a committed individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance Technician. In this position, you will be an integral part of our organization, collaborating seamlessly with various Munck departments to ensure consistent quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Quality

  • Understand relevant QA documents such as QPs (Quality Procedures), CAR (Corrective Action Request) Reports, Standard Operating Procedures and manage corresponding records, to ensure procedures and records are followed and completed appropriately
  • Creation and amendment of Quality Procedures
  • Maintenance of calibration system, ensuring all equipment is within its calibration period.
  • Aid in the development of manufacturing and fabricating procedures
  • Participate in and perform internal and external quality audits and operational reviews
  • Work directly with production management and supervisors to address any quality or safety concerns.
  • Prepare Quarterly reviews and yearly Management reviews
  • Assist with coaching and quality training of production personnel
  • Investigate customer complaints, support with root cause analysis and monitor corrective action plan to validate permanent Corrective Action
  • Initiate non-conformance process for any non-conformity identified. Help to identify root causes and take corrective / preventive actions when required
  • Manage all customer file documentation and follow up on work completion amongst other departments
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company Policies
  • Act as a member of the JHSC and participate in monthly Health and Safety inspections
  • Maintain safe work practices and ensure proper PPE is being used at all times
  • Participate in safety initiatives and improvement measures

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Quality Assurance or a related discipline
  • Previous Quality Control/Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret Mechanical drawings is required
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 quality standards, quality assurance terminology and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Computer Literacy – Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of CAD programs is an asset
  • Internal Auditing Experience required
  • Internal Auditor certification
  • Weld inspection experience an asset
