ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate and foster team environment to deliver the highest level of design.
    • Manage the design team and sub-consultant coordination process.
    • Ability to lead and present in meetings with clients or municipalities
    • Direct and oversee high-quality documentation, provide guidance with technical detail, & explore new solutions
    • Ability to drive the project forward towards successful completion / Motivates and challenges others to perform at their best
    • Participates in networking activities within the design industry and professional organizations
    • Manage Construction Administration process, able to work independently and handle RFI's, site visits, field reports, & submittal review
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
    • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
    • Licensed Architect
    • Experience in the healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas
    • Eager to learn, good listener, curious & proactive with strong time management skills
    • Clear understanding of applicable codes & building construction systems, materials, and standards
    • Understanding of Permitting process.
    • High proficiency with Revit, Sketchup & Adobe Creative Suite
    • Ability to takes ownership of tasks and project deliverables
    • Comfortable dealing with project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction
    • Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Team player, adaptable and has a positive attitude
