Our reputable client is a non-profit, unique, innovative, results-driven organization looking for a SECURITY ARCHITECT

LOCATION: Windsor/Chatham, ON

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Architect will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures. This includes managing the design and implementation of security systems and architecture to protect the organization's data and assets from cyber threats. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity trends and threats. The Security Architect will also participate in incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a security breach and will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.

This role ensures that the stakeholder security requirements necessary to protect the organization's mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Degree or Diploma inComputer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Certification in CISSP or CCSP required

CCSK, Azure, AWS, Google (GCP) an asset.

Minimum two (2) years of experience working on cloud platforms architecture leveraging Public Cloud (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)

Minimum five (5) years of experience with Security Architect and/or Security Engineering. Six to eight (6-8) years preferred

Proven experience working on large and complex cloud transformation projects, cloud adoption framework (CAF), DevSecOps

Proficient in defining cloud architecture patterns in Azure, GCP and AWS

Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, web and email security gateways, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and encryption.

Experience with Security Orchestration Automation and Response platforms (SOAR).

In-depth knowledge of on-premise/cloud infrastructure, networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) computer hardware and mobile device technology.

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.
