Financial Planner Assistant

Our company is growing rapidly and is hiring a Financial Planner Assistant. If you are looking for an exciting place to work, please look at the description below.

This position is an advisor support position that provides technical support to a lead advisor. Responsibilities include data gathering and analysis, development of financial planning recommendations, implementation, and portfolio management. The Associate Financial Advisor may participate in client meetings, but not in an advice delivering capacity. A Paraplanner may also participate in developing investment and financial planning strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Review notes from all prospect/client meetings, gather data and prepare forms, illustrations, quotes and any additional reports needed for appointments
  • Provide occasional administrative assistance to FA (online research, formatting documents)
  • Manage client portfolio investment analysis and recommendations
  • Responsible for investment money movements between accounts
  • Prepares and ensures new business paperwork processes successfully
  • Supports compliance within the practice and fulfills all compliance responsibilities
  • Undertake research to allow the Paraplanner and Advisor to identify suitable solutions to meet the client's needs
  • Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by the Paraplanner and Advisor

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service experience is a plus
  • Must have a 4 year college degree -industry/related experience
  • Life, Accident & Health License is a plus
  • Degree (highly regarded)
  • Enjoys systems
  • Initiative to be a key contributor to the practice with possible advancement to Associate Financial Advisor or Financial Advisor

Anticipated Salary Range: 45000 - 65000 / year plus bonus opportunity.

Flexibility in working hours/locations depending on successful completion after 6 months.
