POSITION: Licensed Industrial Electrician (442 or 309)
STATUS: Full-Time Permanent Position
LOCATION: Milton, ON
INDUSTRY: Heavy Industrial 24/7 operation

POSITIONS SUMMARY: The licensed electrician will be responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of all plant machinery. This plant runs 24/7 and is a continuous process environment. It is in the heavy industrial sector the company provides materials used in a variety of manufacturing industries including but not limited to construction.

YOUR WORK

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanics, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.

Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.

Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts.

Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes, and repairs or replaces worn items as required.

Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems as needed.

Lay out, install, and maintain a variety of complete electronically controlled equipment, such as rolling mill loop controls, secondary distribution centers, programmable sequences, and pulpit control panel.

Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.

Work with maintenance and production as required.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, days, nights, and two weekends a month.

Hold a valid electrician's License.

3 plus years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience including preventative and routine maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret drawings.

PLC troubleshooting experience.

High voltage power, control, and drive experience.
