Arnett & Burgess Energy Services LP is seeking a qualified full-time Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our Finance team in Blackfalds, Alberta. This role serves to carry out accounting and contract compliance for efficient processing and maintenance of customer accounts.

This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

Responsibilities.

  • Review billing tickets and progress templates to ensure compliance with contract rates, terms and conditions applicable to labour, equipment, third party costs and rules of credit.
  • Identify and communicate billing discrepancies to project controls team and AR Supervisor
  • Invoice preparation and posting in ERP and customer invoicing systems.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via email and phone.
  • Contract review to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, billing procedures, holdback release provisions and obtaining required close out documents for various customers.
  • Account management, reconciliation and weekly reporting to AR Supervisor and Controller.
  • Monitoring of unbilled third-party costs.
  • Vendor account maintenance including vendor setup and banking confirmations.
  • GST reconciliations.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper records.
  • Assisting with special projects.

Requirements

Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years of accounts receivable and general accounting exposure and experience.
  • Applicable post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of common accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications, specifically Word & Excel.
  • Through understanding of Goods and Services and Provincial tax implications within Canada.
  • Understanding of the Prompt Payment and Builder's Lien Act in various provinces.
  • Understanding of effective communication techniques for collections and dispute resolution.

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to apply professional judgment while adhering to internal controls and policies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated to self-learn and adapt to changing business needs and processes.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently.
