The Industrial Electrician will provide and support maintenance services across the plant to keep the production running to minimize downtime of the machines.

Schedule: 12-hour continental shift with biweekly turnaround

Responsibilities:

• Performs electrical maintenance/repairs of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. May include maintenance of electronic or solid-state controls of the plant machinery. Candidate must possess working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Repairs, installs, inspects and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances)
• Clearly communicate completed tasks by means of producing a daily log (verbal/written/computerized)
• The job is within a plastic environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility.
• Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times, such as lock out / tag out and machine guarding control.
• This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection and safety shoes at all times during a work shift
• Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team environment.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping practices at all times to help maintain a safe work area

Skills and Qualifications:

• A valid Electrician trade license (309A/ 442A)
• Experience working in the plastic manufacturing industry an asset
• Willing and able to work rotational shifts plus additional overtime as required
• Exhibit the ability to work in a challenging environment
• Fabrication experience and ability to weld in all positions
• Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, or within a team environment
• Able to work rotating shifts to support a continuous operation

Wages:

41$/ hr + 1$ night shift premium + benefits starting from day 1
