Reporting to our Senior Director, Operations & Sustainability, as an IT Analyst, you will be responsible for prioritizing user requirements, overseeing system upgrades and researching new tools. In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to understand business needs.

What your responsibilities as an IT Analyst will include

  • Providing desktop, technology, and telecommunications project support/analysis for the organization
  • Preparing and advising IT service provider of on and off boarding/ramping requirements for staff including email, laptop, software, network access, etc. Deploying and recovering laptops to ensure full functionality of hardware/software and assist with ordering of IT equipment and peripherals
  • Communicating with internal clients (employees) to understand their IT requirements, gathering feedback about system performance and identifying and implementing solutions
  • Designing efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs
  • Coordinating with external developers to build and implement technology solutions based on internal client needs
  • Integrating multiple systems and reconciling needs of different teams to ensure all IT requirements are being met
  • Ensuring all IT systems and infrastructure are secure, available, reliable, and responsive through the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures, processes, and solutions
  • Gathering feedback from end users about system performance and identifying solutions
  • Planning and overseeing projects that enhance the client experience (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • Producing clear and maintainable documentation, assist with asset management and inventory tracking of network hardware and software, manage databases, and run weekly reporting
  • Supporting and advising on implementation of new communication and information technologies and integration with current systems
  • Provide IT support and training, as required, to ensure effective end user services are established and maintained
  • Keeping abreast of technology trends and developments

What you'll need to succeed

  • An Undergraduate Degree and/or college equivalent coupled with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an IT analyst focused on database, networks, IT security, hardware and software, office applications or troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of, interest in and experience with telecommunications, computer technology, business operations, data storage and security
  • Certification in end user support, desktop troubleshooting, networking and cybersecurity
  • Very experienced in Microsoft applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
  • Experience managing/coordinating IT related projects from kickoff to completion
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities to meet operational deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
