Job Summary:

As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will machine components for production. Successful candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Job Duties:

• Program and set up a dual spindle, live tooling lathe
• Run production parts that conform to the blueprint
• Perform regular machine maintenance
• Maintain an inventory for all required lathe supplies
• Support machine setup and operation personnel
• Emphasis is placed on a continuous process of improvement
• Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
• Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Machinist certificate or equivalent an asset
• Minimum 3 years experience programming Fanuc control
• Minimum 5 years CNC lathe experience
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
• Must be able to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gages)
• Must be able to read a blueprint
• Must have good communication skills
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Hourly Wage: $26-$32/hour based on experience

Day Shift Available: 7AM-3PM
