The Regional Manager, Warehouse and Shop Services is an experienced motivated, dynamic, and disciplined individual who is committed to applying and contributing their experience and expertise to deliver operational excellence in our warehouses. The Regional Manager –Warehouse and Shop Services will be responsible for ensuring our warehouses are run efficiently, with a service-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement and rigorous health and safety standards. This role will be instrumental in establishing and enforcing policies, optimizing logistics, enhancing productivity and quality while providing strong leadership to foster a high-performance team. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of warehouse employees to foster teamwork, meet or exceed job expectations, deliver exceptional service, and empower your team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Strategize, plan, schedule and allocate resources to meet delivery demands, shipping and receiving cycle times, picking, and preparing material orders and completing all administrative work in a timely manner
  • Create, implement, and enforce standardized policies and procedures that will enhance operational efficiency and ensure consistency in delivering services.
  • Safety is our top priority. You will take a proactive approach to health and safety, championing a culture of safety awareness, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating potential risks to create a secure work environment for all team members.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and production guidelines. Your vigilant oversight and attention to detail will ensure that our output consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations. You will implement quality control measures and oversee quality assurance processes.
  • Your expertise in warehouse management will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency across all warehouse services. You will identify and implement areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, customer service and Field Team Management and members across service, internal projects, and construction to meet both planned and emergency service needs
  • Maintain open and effective communication with staff, addressing issues proactively and ensuring all quality issues including safety, equipment or environment in the warehouses are prioritized. Encourage employee engagement and provide coaching, training, and corrective action as necessary
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouses and the equipment within the warehouses
  • Support the Fleet and facilities team as required

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partner with Operations team to ensure branches without warehouses have materials on-hand and receive regular service to meet our customer needs

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision making in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented and able to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Disciplined leader with the ability to provide clear direction and follow-up
  • Team leadership skills
  • Experience in implementing strategic projects including system delivery and change management plans.
  • Experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry is an asset.
  • Good interpersonal skills with peers, employees and customers
  • Efficient with technology and software systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management experience of 5 years leading warehouses with a track record of operational improvements and team leadership
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and a results-driven approach
  • Ability to manage and optimize resources effectively
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools for production planning and resource management
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
