Overview: Greenhouse is seeking a dependable and results-oriented self-starter to join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and has a flexible schedule to support our operations.
This is a full-time position based out of our Mississauga location within a rapidly growing start-up. This is a cool job, literally—please note that you will be working in refrigerated conditions for juice production.

Statement of Work & Responsibilities:
- Work with maintenance manager to track and update all equipment changes and repairs/maintenance work performed
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Fulfill mechanical requirements of work orders and troubleshooting and repairs
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
- Sharpening, organizing, labeling and cleaning maintenance area and tools
- Assist in the improvement of PM program, present new ideas for maintenance
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation and communicate daily repair activity with supervisors and with various departments
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Performing other related duties as assigned to support the production team
- Work in compliance with all Health and Safety, Food Safety and HACCP requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years Experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge about electric motor controls, programmable logic controllers, basic wiring circuits and skills necessary to safely test common electrical systems and make minor repairs where permitted
- Intermediate knowledge of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures
- Knowledge of safety standards of equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to obtain pertinent information, evaluate information objectively and explore alternative solutions to problems
- Ability to incorporate continuous improvement while maintaining a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands and prioritize in an environment with competing demands
- Ability to work long hours
- Scissor lift license is an asset
Health & Safety:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements
- Ability to work in a cold and refrigerated environment
