ControllerOBJECTIVE

We're on the hunt for an experienced Plant Controller to join our client's dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee critical accounting functions and partner with operational and accounting leaders to steer the company towards financial excellence. If you're ready to elevate your career and make a significant impact, we want to hear from you!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily and period-end accounting operations using Oracle and Hyperion, ensuring accuracy in both CAD and USD.
  • Craft and analyze financial forecasts and budgets, providing key insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management teams, responding to financial inquiries and supporting administrative functions.
  • Guide accounts payable and receivable processes, from invoicing to vendor management.
  • Handle tax preparations and filings, supported by our corporate Tax department.
  • Manage local cash operations and reconcile the journey of materials from start to customer delivery.
  • Lead inventory audits and controls, aligning with company policies for asset management.
  • Contribute to capital project planning and monitor project finances and performance metrics.
  • Support audit activities and contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Enhance plant productivity through standardized reporting and savings initiatives.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
  • Prior Controller or Management experience is required.
  • An advanced Degree would be advantageous, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Tax and familiarity with local compliance law are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office software. Experience with Oracle or Hyperion is
  • preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also leading others toward company goals. Results-
  • driven and detail-oriented mindset; Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan effectively for multiple projects and deadlines
