What you'll be doing:

As the Finance Coordinator, you will be reporting to the Controller. You will be responsible for coordinating finance by directing payments to be made by the Accounts Payable Specialist based on the bank balance and expected payments to come in per the Accounts Receivable Specialist. The ideal candidate would have experience in cash management.

The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, organized, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and seize opportunities to take ownership. You can think outside of the box, and you love to develop creative solutions to problems.

  • Manage cash by directing payments to vendors through coordination between the Account Receivable Specialist and Account Payable specialist.
  • Escalation point for sensitive matters related to Accounts Receivable and Payable.
  • Support the team during vacations or busy periods.
  • Process payroll. Monitor wage adjustments, new hires, and terminations through HR platform (Bamboo) and apply to payroll.
  • Maintain Forward contracts to mitigate foreign currency exposure.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Adhoc projects for the finance team.
  • Maintain monthly journal entries, lease, fixed asset and rent schedules.
  • Monthly bank reporting submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • College diploma in accounting or a related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure with weekly/monthly deadlines
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Experience using Netsuite is an asset but not required
