Our client is a leading General Contractor specializing in multi-family residential construction projects across BC. They pride themselves on delivering top-quality, innovative, and sustainable wood frame construction solutions to our clients. As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful completion of the multi-family wood frame construction projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for single and multi-family wood frame construction projects
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure a smooth project flow and timely execution
  • Manage all aspects of the construction process, including permits, design approvals, material procurement, and on-site construction activities
  • Monitor project progress and adjust resources, schedules, and budgets as necessary to maintain project deadlines and meet client expectations
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project quality, safety, and adherence to construction plans
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and company safety policies
  • Prepare project status reports and updates for clients and company management
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support ongoing business development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for single and multi-family wood frame construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction industry best practices
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion, on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and collaborate with diverse teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, such as Procore
  • Valid driver's license
