Tayco is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-orientated Engineering Supervisor to join our Engineering Team. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Engineering Supervisor will play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge furniture designs to life. The successful candidate will have a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design new products or improve existing ones.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Utilize engineering knowledge to provide technical guidance and solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects.
  • Create Prototype to test and validate design concepts.
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet overall organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that engineering projects meet quality standards and comply with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project and Engineering protocols documentation.
  • Use engineering principles and Solid Works software tools for product design.

Requirements

Tayco is seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
    • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
    • Proficiency in CAD Software (preferably Solid Works) and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Exposure to manufacturing environment and full knowledge of manufacturability, process improvement, and quality issues.
    • Knowledge of product test methods.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills.
    • Strong leadership abilities.
    • Project management experience.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are advantageous.
