Spirit Employment & Training Edmonton Inc. is hiring B Pressure Welders. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing support on our shutdown and turnaround projects starting 2023. These positions require working 12-hour days with a lot of overtime.

Spirit Employment and Training is looking for experienced B Pressure Welders for shutdown work starting in June 2023.

Details:

• Start Date: June
• Length of Assignment: Temporary
• Location: Ontario, Alberta, others
• Sites: Pulp Mill

Responsibilities

• To weld pressure equipment (pressure vessels, piping, carbon, stainless) in accordance with the respective ASME codes, TDE's WPS, and QC Manual.
• Read and follow blue print drawings.
• Inform the Foreman and/or the Supervisor of any issues or concerns with material, quality, print discrepancy, etc.
• Communicate thoughts and ideas clearly, directly, honestly and with respect for others.
• Actively participate in departmental and/or TDE annual or quarterly initiatives.
• Approach problems with a solution orientated attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Welder.
• Must have a B Welding Ticket.
• Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset.
• Ability to weld any of the following processes: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW FCAW, SAW.
• Working knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and construction.
• Proficient knowledge of industry best practices.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with all levels of staff.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when working with confidential information.
