POSITION OVERVIEW:
North Western Property Maintenance is continuing to grow and we are seeking a skilled Small Engine and Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and contribute to the success of our fleet operations.
As a Small Engine and Vehicle Mechanic at North Western Property Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our fleet and small engines. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, reliable, and highly organized with a passion for continuous improvement.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS:
- Participate in and contribute to morning meetings and 3S activities
- Embrace NWPM Core Values and company culture of continuous improvement
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines and vehicles, including but not limited to lawnmowers, trimmers, trucks, and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine appropriate solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and schedule repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment.
- Source and order parts as needed, while keeping an eye on cost-effectiveness.
- Uphold safety standards and practices in all aspects of work.
- Proven experience as a small engine and vehicle mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with landscape construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated on industry trends.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in small engine and vehicle mechanics.
- Valid driver's license.
