Kamloops Operations Manager
Alopex Couriers is looking for a highly skilled People Leader to join our Team.
As the Operations Manager, you are accountable for supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring that employees are working in a safe and efficient manner.
This position requires strong attention to people and safety, continuous improvement initiatives, problem solving and effective communication in a dynamic logistics environment.
Objectives of the Role
- Determining work requirements and managing employees to ensure efficient and time sensitive sorting of packages and deliveries
- Make informed decisions based on safety and industry standards that comply with company processes, policies, and procedures
- Work collaboratively with Human Resources and other Departments to build a positive culture and healthy work environment through mentoring, coaching and acting as a knowledge resource to other employees
- Responsible for understanding and use of key performance indicators, involvement in annual budgeting process.
- Demonstrate a level of care that protects and maintains company assets while minimizing operational cost and maximizing operational quality.
- Use situational leadership to set clear priorities and develop people through sharing of relevant information and appropriate performance management processes
Qualifications
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Two to three years of progressive senior management and leadership experience
- Certification program or degree in transportation or logistics or one year of college courses and working towards a degree.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite

Location – Kamloops, BC
Fast-paced Logistics Environment
Job Type: Full-time salaried position
Compensation:
Ranges between $75,000 -$82,000 annually based on qualifications and experience
Health Spending Account ($1500 - $2000 Annually)
