Position Description

The Night Auditor is a passionate and dedicated hospitality professional who works as part of the Front Office team and is responsible for supporting the organization's objective of delivering unparalleled service to our valued guests. This position is based out of The Willowdale Hotel Toronto North York for shifts commencing at 11 pm until 8 am the following day. The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel in addition to verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges, and completing other assigned tasks.

Primary Objectives

  • Deliver outstanding service to our valued guests during their stay with us.
  • Provide prompt and professional responses to all inquiries.
  • Contribute to reinforcing our positive culture.
  • Prepare the night audit report.
  • Identify ad rectify posting errors.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize systems to maintain accurate, up to date information for all clients and matters.
  • Follow all guest services department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process guest payments.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanour at all times.
  • Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential guests and process hotel and extended stay reservations.
  • Resolve and follow up issues and problems with guest services coordinator at the hotel front desk to ensure a quality operation.
  • Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking the guests preferences and special requests.
  • Build strong relationships and liaise with all other department's including sales, housekeeping, and accounting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Average skills in: verbal and written communication.
  • Above average skills in: accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to: multi-task, prioritize, and organize.
  • Demonstrated ability to: find and rectify mistakes.
  • General knowledge of: Hotel Property Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Apps.
  • Experience in: Hospitality industry, extended stay hotels.
  • Education: Diploma in Hospitality Management and/or Accounting is an asset.
