Job Description

What You'll Do:

The DevOps Analyst is responsible for continually evolving the DevOps architecture, capabilities, and processes through projects and initiatives in consultation with TE and ESO leaders to facilitate and continually improve our DevOps practice. This includes researching, defining, planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, performance and capacity planning, disaster recovery, as well as optimizing services and processes.

Reporting to the Applications Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide hands on support for daily operations of the Azure DevOps environment, including service, data and process integrity, configuration, user administration, reporting, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to help build and deploy applications in a highly robust automated fashion with high emphasis on security, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business users, technical teams, database administrators, and testing teams to address automation issues.
  • Responsible for CI/CD implementation and deployment. Full responsibility to automate CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the design and development of test automation pipelines to validate builds in the CI & CD processes.
  • Work with business stakeholders to determine business process improvements and optimization of the DevOps environment to improve value add to the organization.
  • Provide updates on build/release progress, risks, and issues to business and technical executive leadership teams.
Qualifications

This is the unique blend of skills and experience we would love to see in an ideal candidate:

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technology subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a DevOps Analyst in a software Release, QA, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, or DevOps environment and 5 years in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environments, platforms, and tools with specific experience in Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to read, write and execute shell (bash and PowerShell) scripts.
  • Ability to read and write Yaml pipelines.
  • Proficient with virtualization in Cloud environments; including deploying to virtualized environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft platforms including Windows, SQL Server, .Net, Azure.
  • Working experience of Infrastructure automation.
  • Experience working with Git repositories.
  • Experience organizing, directing, and managing activities related to building and maintaining software releases for promotion through the application lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, understanding and experience with agile and dev-ops methodologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across technology and business groups.
