About the opportunity

The Sr Solution Architect, Information Systems (IS) is responsible for designing, executing, and delivering IS solutions aligned with organizational strategic goals, and responsible for leading all aspects of the entire solution lifecycle, ensuring project success within scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to develop and implement plans, identify and mitigate risks, oversee timelines, communications, and resources.

You will lead assessment, optimization, and enhancement of existing IS solutions, improving system performance, reliability, and efficiency, including providing technical expertise and direction for system support and integrations, assisting SaaS administrators and vendors.

The Sr Solutions Architect will closely support solutions for various groups within the Ting organization, including customer care, sales, marketing, and construction. Collaboration with corporate functions such as IT, Security, Legal, and Finance will be integral to your responsibilities.

This is an 18-month contract position.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead, design and deliver end to end Information Systems solutions that integrate with existing systems, and align with industry standard processes.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation, budget, risk management and change control processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, program managers and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technology solutions.
  • Establish and maintain communication plans, ensuring regular status reporting, risk assessments.
  • Support Business Analysts and SaaS administrators with change management processes, technical leadership and solution design.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of implemented solutions to ensure they meet quality standards, performance requirements and business objectives.
  • Solution 'go live' and post launch monitoring strategies.
  • Build and Maintain partnerships with internal customers, team members, project sponsors, and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain system design documentation and specifications to guide the implementation process.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms and frameworks to support the organization's IS infrastructure.
  • Establish governance and support processes for new and existing systems.
  • Support disruptions of service by providing technical guidance.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices related to IS architecture; make recommendations for continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
  • 4-8 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Project Manager designing and implementing IS solutions.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency in designing scalable and secure solutions for distributed, cloud-based solutions
  • and integrated frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Team player who shows initiative, flexibility and resilience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, complex Information Systems projects
  • Demonstrable ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of system integrations - API based and flat file based between various SaaS tools
  • Experiencing evaluating SaaS solutions against Privacy and Security requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

The base salary range for this position is $101,600 - $119,500 USD for US residents OR $103,800 - $122,100 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
