Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant - Shutdown Operations

Location: Camp-based site North of Fort St. John

Shift Pattern: 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-hour shifts

Industry: Oil and Gas

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the tool crib operations, including the issuance, return, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool and equipment inventory, including check-outs, returns, and condition status.
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the tool crib area, making it easily accessible and efficient for users.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prepare orders for replenishing stocks or acquiring new tools as needed.
  • Implement and enforce safety and operational procedures for the handling and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate with project management and other departments to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability for various tasks.
  • Provide guidance and support to site personnel regarding the proper use and care of tools and equipment.
  • Manage the onsite inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that critical components are readily available to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience as a Tool Crib Attendant or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, particularly in shutdown or turnaround projects.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of tools and equipment used in the oil and gas sector, including their maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with site personnel and management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote, camp-based environment on a 6 on/1 off, 12-hour shift schedule.
  • Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
