A manufacturing company specializing in sheet metal fabrication, is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal TIG Welder to join our team. As a Sheet Metal TIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications. Attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld and fabricate sheet metal components
• Perform welds on various types of metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
• Ensure welds are of high quality, free from defects, and meet specified requirements
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Sheet Metal TIG Welder or similar role
• Proficient in TIG welding techniques and experience working with sheet metal
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications
• Knowledge of different metal types and their welding properties
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality welds
• Experience with welding equipment and tools
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Completion of a welding certification program or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Additional certifications or training in TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication is a plus
