We're looking for a mission-driven Analyst, Account Payable who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB
  • Receive and review all invoices/payables documents for accuracy via Concur, ensure that appropriate documentation, where applicable, all invoices are matched to Purchase orders and are approved by corporate policies.
  • Administer our invoice capture tool (Concur) ensuring all AP invoice documents generated from the above preparation include the facilitation of documents between the company and its various suppliers and document filing internally (both Physically and Electronic).
  • Support daily assignment of invoices to staff using the Concur tool.
  • Support daily accounting review of approved invoices and employee expenses.
  • Review invoices posted into NetSuite via the connector to ensure that all invoices are correctly posted with the correct taxes.
  • Ensure correct coding and allocation of all invoices by account, department, location, and program and where necessary, capture billback information for monthly intercompany billings to other entities in the corporate group.
  • Prepare payment runs and wires are generated every week so that all payment packages are correctly prepared and supported by approvals and documented coding.
  • Ensure that payments are appropriately scheduled to take advantage of credit terms, always being issued in compliance with terms.
  • Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omission by applying appropriate accounting standards.
  • Research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning invoice discrepancies, and account status, and provide appropriate and timely resolutions.

Requirements

Who you are:Education and Certifications
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 4+ years' experience in accounts payable in a multi-entity corporation.
  • 3+ years' general accounting knowledge/experience maintaining general ledger.
  • Previous experience with ERP software, tech-savvy to learn new software.
  • Previous experience in NetSuite and Concur is considered an asset.
  • Experience with month-end financial reconciliations, analysis, and closing processes is considered an asset.
  • Detail-oriented, and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge (formulas, pivot tables, v-look ups, and etc).
  • Self-driven and result-oriented with the ability to work well independently while exercising effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Able to use analytical skills to solve problems quickly and effectively, while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
