Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A Millwright / 442A Industrial Electrician)Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. You will play an important role in minimizing equipment downtime, supporting production targets, and maintaining the overall performance of our facility.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and replace components such as motors, bearings, chains, and other mechanical parts.
• Perform basic fabrication, welding, and machining tasks as required.
• Follow established maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.
• Use work orders and maintenance planning systems to organize and complete maintenance activities efficiently.
• Update maintenance records and equipment information in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Monitor and manage maintenance parts and consumables, ensuring inventory levels are maintained in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinate with external contractors and trades when specialized repairs are required.
• Identify equipment issues, recommend solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with the Service Centre Manager, Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader, and other team members to support production objectives.
• Be available for overtime as operational requirements dictate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Red Seal certification and/or 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license.
• Candidates holding a 442A Industrial Electrician license with strong mechanical skills will also be considered.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical control systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing equipment failures.
• Basic machine shop skills, including drilling, grinding, measuring, filing, and welding.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a CMMS.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow established procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dual trade certification, particularly an additional electrical license.
• Experience working with automated industrial equipment and production machinery.
• Familiarity with maintenance planning, work orders, and parts inventory management systems.
