This opportunity is ideal for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors and working as part of a team. THE ROLE

• Pick up residential and commercial waste from designated locations;
• Service approximately 75–100 residential properties during a regular shift;
• Lift and empty waste bins;
• Operate and work around hydraulic equipment;
• Work safely and efficiently as part of a team;
• Maintain a safety-conscious approach throughout all tasks;
• Work overtime as required, with shifts potentially lasting up to 14 hours;
• Be available for occasional Saturday shifts during peak periods.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods;
• Ability to lift and empty waste bins repeatedly;
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions;
• Strong teamwork and communication skills;
• Safety-conscious attitude;
• 8” steel-toe boots are required;
• Reflective safety vest is required;
• Heavy-duty work gloves are recommended;
• Safety glasses can be provided.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• $18.00/hour + 4% vacation pay;
• On-call position with shifts offered as needed;
• Monday–Friday schedule when scheduled;
• 6:00 a.m. start time, with shifts running until the route is complete;
• Overtime available and required as needed;
• Occasional Saturday shifts during peak periods;
• Bring a lunch and snacks, as there may not be an opportunity to stop for food during your shift;
• Bring plenty of water and sunscreen to stay prepared for outdoor work.
