Location: Savant Lake, Northwestern Ontario
Term: Full-Time, Year-Round (Immediate Start)
Schedule: Monday to Saturday (Closed Sundays and Holidays)

• Winter Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Summer Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Our core operations include:

• Ennis Grocery: A bustling general store carrying a little bit of everything—including fuel pumps, an internal liquor store, lottery, hardware, groceries, clothing, and outdoor supplies.
• The Four Winds Hotel & Restaurant: Located directly across the street from the store.

The Role: What You Will Do

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Assistant Manager to join our team. Your primary focus will be running the day-to-day operations at Ennis Grocery.

Because we operate as a family team, you will also provide minimal support for the hotel across the street during slow store periods. This hospitality support is very simple and primarily involves handing out room keys to checking-in guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, order inventory, and manage shelf organization.
• Store Operations: Receive freight shipments and physically stock shelves.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly, dependable service to locals and travelers.
• Daily Upkeep: Maintain excellent cleaning standards to keep the store tidy inside and out.
• Guest Check-ins: Step across the street during low-demand grocery hours to assist arriving hotel guests with their room keys.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous retail experience is required.
• Management Skills: Good organizational and introductory management skills.
• Communication: Good social skills with Intermediate English.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to lift, move, and receive inventory shipments.
• Attitude: A team player who is honest, dependable, and eager to learn and grow with us long-term.
