Job Overview Fuze HR Solutions is currently hiring an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator for a leading logistics and distribution company in Brampton, Ontario. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a reliable and skilled forklift operator with previous cross-dock experience who is looking for stable, full-time employment with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will support a busy distribution operation, handling inbound and outbound freight, operating an electric counterbalance forklift, and ensuring products are moved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate an electric counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently in a fast-paced cross-dock environment.
• Load, unload, and move inbound and outbound freight.
• Support daily cross-dock operations, including transferring freight between receiving and shipping areas.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying shipment quantities and inspecting goods for damage.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse documentation to track and process shipments.
• Stage and organize pallets for outbound distribution.
• Ensure shipping and receiving paperwork is accurate and complete.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs when required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
• Work overtime when required to support operational needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of recent counterbalance forklift operating experience.
• Previous cross-dock experience is mandatory.
• Valid Electric Counterbalance Forklift certification required.
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and warehouse operations.
• Experience using RF scanners and handling warehouse documentation is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with light dust.
• Good English communication skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment.
• Must be available to work the full overnight schedule, Sunday through Thursday.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis.
• Permanent Residents and Canadian Citizens are preferred for long-term employment stability.
• Must successfully complete a background check and forklift qualification verification.
• Must have CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear and a high-visibility safety vest.
