Casual Cook / All around kitchen team member

All Yummeez is a growing pickup catering and dessert business. We specialize in Austrialian based Desserts called Pavlovas and some Asian favorites like Filipino Pancit and Lumpia! We're looking for a reliable, motivated team member who enjoys cooking and baking, takes initiative, someone that can work under pressure, multitask and can help wherever needed during busy production days mainly on Weekends ie ) Saturdays and holidays.

What you'll do

· Assist with cooking and preparing savoury dishes such as Filipino Pancit, Lumpia and Crab Rangoons and baking whenever needed.

· Follow recipes, food-handling practices and kitchen procedures.

· Prioritize multiple tasks and support coworkers during busy shifts.

· Wash, cut and portion ingredients; assemble, label and package customer orders.

· Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.

· Help with stocking, setup, breakdown and general kitchen duties.

· May need assistance with Ingredient Pickup at our suppliers during peek periods

· May be asked to Deliver orders during peek times (must have a valid drivers license and working vehicle)

What we're looking for

· Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience

· Reliable, punctual and able to commit to agreed shifts.

· Comfortable multitasking and working at a fast pace without sacrificing quality.

· Communicates well

· Able to follow instructions, work independently and also work collaboratively with a team

Requirements:

Proof of Valid Food Handler Certification

Criminal Record Check

MUST have a valid drivers license

MUST be a Permanent Canadian Citizen

Position details: Casual Employment – Shifts are flexible and based on volume and operational needs as this is a new business – we are still growing and expanding. Some weeks may have no scheduled shifts during slower periods. Additional shifts may be available during busy seasons such as holidays and special events. Weekend availability is preferred.

We operate as a team-orientated kitchen where all staff share responsibility for food prep, cleaning, dishwashing, food delivery and other operation tasks as needed.

Please note: This is a casual, on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours. We are looking for reliable, flexible and comfortable with a changing schedule.

Schedule: Variable hours; weekend availability is a must

Starting Pay: $17/hr
