Butcher / Meat Cutter Machine Operator

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Summary: Responsible for operating and maintaining meat cutting equipment to meet production standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer specifications are met across all products.
• Operate the Marelec machine for portioning meat.
• Provide a consistent supply of steaks to the packing line.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machinery as needed.
• Perform quality checks and complete required documentation.
• Trim meat by hand when the machine is offline.
• Maintain a clean work area and communicate maintenance needs.
• Follow safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and improvement programs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with production machinery preferred (especially Marelec).
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food processing environments.
• Punctual, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Capable of working under pressure and independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• Lifting up to 23 kg.
• Cold production room (-1 to +4°C).
• Requires use of safety gear.
• Fast-paced and repetitive tasks.
• Overtime as necessary.
