DZ Recycling / Waste Driver

Marcon Demolition & Environmental Services Inc. is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious DZ Driver to support our recycling and waste removal operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport construction debris, recyclable materials, and waste from job sites to designated disposal and recycling facilities.

This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting our demolition and environmental services team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate DZ-class vehicles to transport waste, construction debris, and recyclable materials.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver materials between job sites, recycling facilities, and approved disposal locations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with applicable weight limits and transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, disposal tickets, and vehicle inspections.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental procedures, and applicable Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and general labour duties when required.
• Keep vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and site personnel regarding schedules and deliveries.
• Ensure waste and recyclable materials are transported and disposed of at the appropriate facilities.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, suppliers, and facility personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Ontario DZ driver's license in good standing.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• Previous commercial driving experience is considered an asset.
• Experience in construction, demolition, waste removal, or recycling operations is an asset.
• Knowledge of load securement and vehicle safety requirements.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting and moving materials as required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites throughout Southwestern Ontario.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
