General Labourer – Floater

THE ROLE

As a General Labourer – Floater, you will support manufacturing operations, primarily in the Final Assembly and Shipping departments. You will help assemble products, prepare finished goods for shipment, move materials, and assist with other general labour duties as needed in Hamilton, ON. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with final assembly and preparation of manufactured products.
• Prepare, organize, and stage finished products for shipment.
• Pull orders and verify products and components for accuracy.
• Assist with greasing, preparing, and painting products as required.
• Build custom skids and assist with packaging and shipping preparation.
• Move materials and products between production areas.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift as required, following appropriate training and safety procedures.
• Assist with roll assembly and other production duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have strong English communication skills, including reading and writing.
• Must have basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid MOL Health & Safety Awareness training certificate.
• Must have CSA-approved metatarsal safety boots.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, shipping, or general labour experience is an asset.
• Counterbalance forklift experience and a valid third-party training certificate are preferred.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Must be comfortable working in different departments and taking direction.
• Must follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Must have a positive team attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
