Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Class 5 Licence, clean driver's abstract, and be open to learning new things. This role involves both independent work and collaboration with other team members.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CLASS 1 DRIVER JOB.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean the interior and exterior of trucks and trailers.
- Repair and install tires as needed.
- Drive service truck to various locations to provide maintenance services.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist technicians with tasks as needed.
- Perform spring and winter maintenance.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings and inspections.
- Utilize analytical and troubleshooting skills to address issues.
- Utilize computer skills for various tasks.
- Perform various other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Handling materials manually.
- Performing repetitive motions.
- Bending or twisting the body frequently.
Work Environment:
- Work both indoors and outdoors, often in non-environmentally controlled settings.
- Use standard safety equipment.
- Exposure to dangerous chemical substances.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
- Operate hazardous equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Exposure to loud noises and potential skin injuries.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with computers.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
