Hiring: Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate
Location: Edmonton, AB
Duration: 9 Months
Pay Rate: CAD $60-$75/hr
Work Arrangement: Remote within Canada; occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, AB
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) by developing Power BI dashboards, data models, and analytics solutions for regulatory reporting and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models using DAX and Power Query.
Use SQL and Azure analytics tools for data integration, transformation, and analysis.
Implement data quality checks, scheduled refreshes, row-level security, and performance tuning.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and forecasting opportunities.
Gather business requirements and present actionable insights to technical teams and executives.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, and end-to-end BI solutions.
4+ years of experience in data quality, visualization, Power BI Service, and executive reporting.
Experience analyzing large datasets using Power BI and Azure analytics tools.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
