Field Welder

Job Description:

Welding repairs to recycling containers, recycling equipment, grates, and railings. Parts are manufactured in the shop; the welder describes the parts to the shop, picks them up, and installs them on-site. This welder will not need to fabricate all parts but must be able to explain them through measurements.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate repairs at the site.
• Use cutting torches and welding equipment to perform various repairs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools.
• Prepare and submit service orders with clear communication, both verbal and written.

Qualifications:

• Experienced in Arc/Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the day and work independently and unsupervised in a company vehicle.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, professional appearance, positive attitude, and a safety-first mindset.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions year-round, wearing protective clothing while working in or near garbage, recycling, or compost material.
