Pay: $20–$21 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role We are hiring a Machine Operator / Conveyor Belt Technician for a hands-on industrial position in Mississauga. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and experience operating machinery, using hand and power tools, or working with industrial equipment. You will assist with conveyor belt fabrication, equipment handling, basic maintenance, and production tasks. Candidates with previous conveyor belt experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with a mechanical or industrial background who are willing to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and use hand and power tools for industrial production and fabrication tasks.
• Assist with conveyor belt fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Measure, cut, and prepare conveyor belt materials according to job requirements.
• Assist with belt lacing, splicing, and vulcanization as required.
• Identify equipment issues and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Follow work instructions, measurements, and basic layouts.
• Handle materials and equipment safely while maintaining an organized work area.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and support daily shop operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in machine operation, conveyor belting, industrial production, or a mechanical environment is preferred.
• Conveyor belt fabrication or repair experience is a strong asset.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on work.
• Ability to follow instructions, measurements, and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Forklift or small crane operating experience is an asset but not required.
• Must have safety shoes; other required PPE will be provided.
